There's a pre-production UMD between game magazines editors. I'd like to meet you with some facts and to make it here discuss the PSP version in future.
First of all, it requires firmware 2.71, so you have to be up-to-date updated or wait a few years 'till 2.71 gets hacked. It's a sure thing that the UMD disc itself contains the update.
The next thing is that this version contains only ARCADE MODE and NETWORK mode. I haven't been able to play against someone so I'll pass it on. I was like WTF, is this some kind of demo or what? Well, in some way it is, but it contains all characters from the beggining.
New moves which I've seen here (thx Castel) work as well as on the Arcade version. So Arcade and PSP versions seem to be completely the same about movelists and game system. But what sucks on PSP is gameplay graphics and controlling the characters.
Pressing d/b on 1P side is a thing I'm never 100% sure about, so I usually use analog stick for this. Pressing two buttons together also is not that easy (though I've done Paul's Demolition Man as JF at 35% success).
Graphics - the intro is very cool. You may know it from YouTube.com or any other movie hosting website, however, it's brilliant on PSP. The in-game graphics are not that nice. Especially Hwoarang's winning poses cought my eye because he had nearly always very broken, he had NOT a left part of his forhead and the place around his left eye, so again, I was like WTF, is this Silent Hill!? :D
The game is good, but I'm not sure if it's worth anyone's money.
:china: Anyone else got an experience with PSP verions of T5DR?
EDIT: psp title screen
